monument that commemorates the defeat of Santa Ana’s
army at the Battle of San Jacinto, April 21, 1836. Sam
Houston’s army charged with the cry “ remember the
Alamo!” and the history of Texas changed forever. The
five points of the Lone Star can be seen from any
direction and towers over the landscape.
